School Year 2024-2025 Updates

  • COMMUNITY ELGIBILITY PROVISION:

Burrell School District is pleased to inform you that we are participating in a Free Breakfast and Lunch Program beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. This program is referred to as the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and is available to districts that participate in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs.
Children who attend any school within Burrell School District are eligible to receive one breakfast and one lunch each school day at no charge. No further action is required of you. Your children will be able to participate in these meal programs without paying a fee or submitting a household application for free and reduced price meals.
Studies have shown that children who are not hungry perform better in school. By providing school meals to all children at no charge, we are hoping to create a better learning environment for our students. The school breakfast and lunch meals that we serve follow U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. The School Breakfast and Lunch Programs cannot succeed without your support. Please encourage your children to participate in the school meal programs. Meals will be served to all students at no charge regardless of the eligibility status.
